Potosi, Bolivia, cob 4 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (ca. 1646), with crowned dot-F-dot countermark on shield. KM-17a. 9.2 grams. Full cross with distinctive lions, nearly full shield with bold countermark (which should not have been applied on a coin this early), all slightly off-center, somewhat thin and lightly corroded, odd gray toning that might point to a lower fineness. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
