Pewter inkwell in the form of a fish, from the 1715 Fleet, ex-Gore, Rainbow Chasers Plate. 219 grams, 5" x 2-1/2" x 2". One of the very few artifacts from this 1715-Fleet wrecksite, found by state archeologist Tommy Gore and pictured on page 83 of Rainbow Chasers Tricentennial Yearbook (2015), by T. L. Armstrong and Tommy Gore. Small, artistic fish inkwell with one fin crafted as a base (head piece missing), scales all over, much sea encrustation (stable but delicate), a gorgeous piece for display. From the 1715 Fleet ("Wedge Wreck" site), found by Tommy Gore (state archeologist) in the late 1950s, accompanied by his personal letter.
