PERU, Lima, pillar 4 reales, Charles III, 1767/6 JM, extremely rare, PCGS AU details / chop mark, ex-O'Brien, ex-Pat Johnson. Yonaka-unl; Cal-824; KM-63. Deep rainbow toning (mostly purple) and sharp details all over, with a couple small chops on pillars side only, very clear remnants of under-digit 6 in the overdate that Yonaka did not acknowledge ("not observed"). Pedigreed to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag, and to the Pat Johnson Collection (stated on label, Stack's Bowers auction of November 2022, lot 72087).
