PERU, Lima, cob 8 reales, 1734 N, cross-of-five-dots at top, ex-Ugaz, Calbetó Plate. S-L21; KM-34a; Cal-1308. 26.77 grams. Choice full pillars-and-waves and cross-lions-castles in VF+ grade (light scuff below bottom-right castle), deeply toned, with bold date, two assayers, and three mintmarks, flat peripheries, scarce date. Pedigreed to the Jorge Ugaz Collection and the Schulman auction of June 1958, also Plate Coin 310 in Calbetó's book Compendio de las piezas de ocho reales (1970).
