PERU, Lima, cob 4 reales, Philip II, assayer Diego de la Torre, *-o(iiii) to left, P-oD/X to right, very rare, ex-Atocha Research Collection (coin 78). S-L4; KM-11; Cal-unl (Type 157). 12.45 grams. Broad flan with full crown and legends, full but centrally weak cross and shield, the latter with bold full P-oD/X to right (the over-assayer not noted on certificate or in RC catalog) and clear supplemental mintmark * squeezed above the denomination to the left, some faint surface corrosion but also traces of luster, toned in crevices. Pedigreed to the Bill Barman Collection of Atocha RC Coins, with original Fisher tag and photo-certificate 85A-237054.
