Very rare type from this wreck and the first Peruvian coin that we've offered from the S.S. Central America. Around Fine with full design details showing and only minor surface corrosion from its time underwater. In America's Greatest Treasure Ship: The SS Central America - The Second Treasure-Finding Journey by Q. David Bowers (2019), this is the only 1812 Lima 2 reales recovered from the wreck during the 2014 expedition. Recovered from: S.S. Central America, sunk in 1857 off North Carolina
