PERU, Lima, 2 reales, Philip II, assayer R (Rincón) to right, motto PL-VSV-L, legends HISPA / NIARVN, rare, Grade 1. S-L1; KM-8; Cal-335. 5.85 grams. Choice piece with practically no corrosion but somewhat flat here and there, still with full interior details and lots of clear legend including the uncommon misspelling INDIARVN along with an unusually high P (characteristic of this variety), also a rare variety with assayer to right, lightly toned, a premium early coin for this wreck. With Fisher tag and photo-certificate 85A-237003 and 2017 appraisal for $40,000. Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
