Neatly formed silver ingot, 1963 grams, about 98.5% fine, with stamps of the Amsterdam chamber of the VOC (Dutch East India Co.). 6" long, 1-1/2" wide, 1-1/4" thick. Meticulously formed (like all Dutch ingots), with sharp sides and no casting seams, typical pit in cut end with encrustation inside, large VOC marking and billy goat cartouche on one side, very clean and silvery all over. From the Rooswijk, sunk in 1739 southeast of England, with original tag and certificate #RK05A50229.
