Neatly formed Dutch silver ingot, 1921 grams, about 98.5% fine, with markings of VOC (Dutch East India Co.) monogram with Z (Zeeland) above and M (Middelburg) below, assayer initials FE (François Englesen, Jr) and fleur-de-lis within shield, ex-Bredenhof (1753). 1921 grams. roughly 6" x 1½" x 1¼". Smooth surfaces brightly polished, with bold markings near center of one side, one end smooth (oddly angled) but the other end typically diagonally sliced for fine-tuning the weight, parts of the edges somewhat corroded but otherwise solid and great for display. From the Bredenhof (1753).
