NETHERLANDS, mints uncertain, clump of six portrait (Spanish) and "rider" (United) ducatoons, encrusted as found, dates not visible. 140 grams total. roughly 2" x 1¾" x ¾". Very tight stack of thin (corroded) coins, a few in the middle protruding, all black-toned and free of debris or encrustation but end coins with fully exposed Spanish reverse on one and "rider" obverse on the other. Pedigreed to the Steve Valentine Collection, with original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Merestein, sunk in 1702 off South Africa
