NETHERLANDS (Holy Roman Empire), Campen, 6 stuivers (arendschelling), Ferdinand III (1637-57). KM-45. 3.86 grams. Choice example of this Ferdinand III type (evidently the first coin from his reign recovered from this wreck that we've offered) with bold double-headed eagle and shield, significant legend text visible, very faintly corroded. Pedigreed to the Steve Valentine Collection, with original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Merestein, sunk in 1702 off South Africa
