Mexico (mint uncertain), cap-and-rays 8 reales, 1860 (assayer not visible), very rare provenance, ex-Meylach. 17.81 grams. Reportedly the only coin ever found from this wreck that Meylach dove on in the 1960s; the site is now in a National Marine Sanctuary. Dark and pitted surfaces with some design detail visible, clear final two digits of date. Pedigreed to the Marty Meylach Collection (Sedwick Auction 8, with original lot-tag 1118), with color photocopy of a 2006 archeological report about the wreck. Recovered from: "Brick Wreck," sunk in the mid-1800s off the Florida Keys
