Mexico City, Mexico, pillar 8 reales, Philip V, 1744MF. KM-103; CT-797. 23.3 grams. Bold XF details all over, with minimal surface corrosion but "chewed" rims, lightly toned, scarce provenance. Pedigreed to the Dan Holmes collection (Goldberg lot 5215, with tag), with original certificate #GACDDD00257 from the salvagers. Recovered from: Dodington, sunk in 1755 off South Africa
