Mexico City, Mexico, pillar 8 reales, Philip V, 1739/6MF, very rare, ex-Reijgersdaal (1747). Cal-1450; KM-103. 26.63 grams. Clear overdate (rated R4 in Gilboy, #M-8-11b), explained by the fact that the 6 punch was used for a 9 and the engraver just had it turned the wrong way, with bold AU details despite very light surface corrosion, steel-gray toning all over. From the Reijgersdaal Research Collection (Sedwick Auction 14, lot 546).
