Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P, with Malaysian(?) nine-petal flower countermark on cross, NGC VF details / chopmarked, graffiti. S-M19; KM-45. 26.91 grams. Roundish flan with good full cross and shield, bold full oMP, very deep and complete large countermark (label calls it a chopmark) and with Malay script graffiti engraved next to it, nicely toned all over. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection, with his original tag/envelope and to the Ponterio Auction of May 1988, with original lot-tag 230. Please use this link to verify the certification number
