Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer D, mounted shield-side out in a silver bezel with chain, housed in a Spink box. S-M18a; KM-45. 56.1 grams total. Solid, uncorroded coin with full but partially weak cross and shield, rustic mounting on flat-ring back with ornamental prongs, the box in atypically excellent condition. With original Spink box and small certificate. Recovered from: "Lucayan Beach wreck," sunk ca. 1628 off Grand Bahama Island
