Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, Philip II or III, assayer F, small 8 for top of mintmark, choice Grade 1, housed in promotional wooden presentation box. . Choice full details on both sides with lovely contrasting toning on fields, bold denomination to right made of two O's and oMF to left with small figure-8 for the o, one small edge-split and touch of corrosion on part of edge but otherwise probably the most attractive coin recovered from this wreck.Encapsulated by NGC and with Arqueonautas certificate #1973908009. From: Sao Jose, sunk in 1622 off Mozambique
