Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, Charles II, assayer G, with "Golden Fleece" countermark for Brabant, Spanish Netherlands (48 patards, 1652-72) on shield, NGC F 15, c/s AU strong. Host: S-M20; KM-46; c/m: Delm-324. (Weight not specified.) Interestingly diamond-shaped flan relative to cross (the obverse on a diagonal axis), with clear oMG and denomination 8 despite extensive flatness and weak strike, the best feature being the 100% full and deep countermark (fully detailed, one of the best examples we've seen), all lightly toned. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection, with his original tag/envelope. Please use this link to verify the certification number
