Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, (1714) J, small shield style, NGC XF 40. S-M22; KM-47; Cal-1401. 26.93 grams. Impressively long, urn-shaped flan nicely lined up with both sides (coin alignment) requiring a special oversized NGC slab (date stated as 1711-19 in error), the shield and cross both fully detailed with bold oMJ and clear denomination 8, date appearing at 6 o'clock in obverse legend (full 171) due to a 90-degree-rotated double-strike, attractively toned all over. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection, with his original tag/envelope. Please use this link to verify the certification number
