Choice full date and mintmark next to well-detailed upper half of shield (off-center, the rest of that side blank), most of cross with flat and beveled periphery (as made), virtually corrosion-free, spots of toning, great provenance. Pedigreed to the Glendining auction of April 1972 (lot #312), with certificate.Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, east coast of Florida
