Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 escudos, 1714J, with date at top of cross and GRAT at 10-11 o'clock on shield side, rare, from the 1715 Fleet. S-M30; KM-57.2; CT-107. 27.1 grams. Strange coin with about half the coin flat except for the centers and the GRAT, high grade (UNC) and almost perfectly round, with just a hint of the 1714 date at about 12 o'clock in the reverse legend.
