Mexico City, Mexico, cob 4 reales, Philip III, assayers F-D, with F below denomination 4 to left and D (no o) below mintmark oM to right, unique, NGC AU details / environmental damage. S-M14a; KM-36 (under Ph. II); Cal-747. 13.53 grams. Full 4 above crude but certain F to left and very full and clear oM above D (without o) to right, the first of this variety we have seen, on a somewhat crude flan with stress-cracks throughout (not "environmental damage," despite what the tag says, which also misattributes this coin to Philip II), full bold cross but much weaker shield, richly toned all over. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection, with his original tag/envelope. Please use this link to verify the certification number
