Mexico City, Mexico, cob 2 escudos, Charles II, assayer not visible (L), from the 1715 Fleet. S-M29; KM-52. 6.9 grams. Lustrous AU, unusually well centered, with full cross and shield, the former with "jewels" and the latter with brownish coral in crevices. From the 1715 Fleet, with hand-signed Mel Fisher certificate from 1972.
