Mexico City, Mexico, bronze proclamation medal, Charles III, 1760, Royal Mexican Pontifical Academy. Betts-478 (but in bronze); Herrera-80 (but in bronze); Grove-K11c. 37.54 grams. Bust of king with titles and date on obverse, reverse with ornate arms (castles and lions) under legend NOVUS MIHI NASCITUR ORDO with engraver A.B. MADERO in exergue. Choice VF with only minor marks and bumps, light brown color all over, rare in this metal. Pedigreed to the John Adams collection.
