A typical example from this assayer and a difficult denomination to find, AXF with bold lions and castles, traces of luster and toning, light scratches. Pedigreed to the Dr. Peter Jones collection, plated on page 76 of his book The First Coins of the Americas (2020), and to the Ponterio auction of September 1999 (lot #559).
