Megalodon (giant shark) tooth, Miocene epoch, approx. 15 to 5 million years old, found off the Atlantic coast of the United States. 151 grams. 3" x 4¼". From the Carcharocles megalodon (meaning "big tooth," an extinct species of shark), this tooth is relatively small and extremely well preserved with intact bright gray enamel, serrated edges, and typical dark gray root.
