Megalodon (giant shark) tooth, Miocene epoch, approx. 15 to 5 million years old, found off the Atlantic coast of the United States. 238 grams. 3½" x 5". Complete, choice fossilized tooth from Carcharocles megalodon (meaning "big tooth," an extinct species of shark), the polished enamel part a little more elongated than others, with tiny serrations on edges and intact root, attractively tri-colored.
