Medellin, Colombia, specimen piefort pattern 50 centavos, 1913, reeded edge, rare, PCGS SP 55, finest and only example in PCGS census. Restrepo-102 (p. 255). Lightly toned over muted luster, a rare trial strike of the adopted Medellin design that began in 1914 (Restrepo-415) but with ENSAYO on the obverse and flat-top 3 (as for Bogota) as opposed to the round-top 3 used later, just some light wear on high points, neat piece for the half-dollar specialist. PCGS #85760574. Pedigreed to the Eldorado collection (Stacks Bowers auction of August 2018, with original lot-tag 42274).
