Massive, complete, eight-pound nesting cup-weight set (including case), stamped with bow-and-arrow maker's mark of the Weinmann family of Nuremberg, Germany, ex-Merestein (1702). 3796 grams, 3-3/4" tall, 4-3/4" wide at top. (separate writeup) Found in 1983 by Gavin Clackworthy, who presented a talk at our Auction 26 about this piece and its conservation and history, with his certificate. Recovered from: Merestein, sunk in 1702 off South Africa
