Madrid, Spain, bronze proclamation medal, Ferdinand VI, 1746. Betts-380 (but in bronze); Herrera-16 (bust in bronze). 41mm, 26.05 grams. Bust of king with titles in legend and engraver I. DASSIER ET FILS at bottom on obverse, reverse with group of four women kneeling before the king below legend REGNORUM SUSCEPTO REGIMENE., with IX. JUL. MDCCX LVI. / I.D.F. in exergue. Problem-free AU with even chocolate-brown color all over. Pedigreed to the John Adams collection, and pedigreed to the Spink auction of March 1980 (lot #327).
