Obverse with Ferdinand seated left on throne within a draped enclosure, holding baton, with Discord below represented as a prostrate gorgon, facing right and grasping a serpent with both hands, legend SUBACTA PERFIDIA FELICITER IMPERAT•; reverse with FERDINANDO / OPTIMO REGI / SOLIO RESTITUTO / CAPITULUM / ECCLES• MEXIC• / 814.; smooth edge. Rather lustrous Mint State with faint rainbow toning, very nice state of preservation for this great rarity with important pedigree. Pedigreed to the José T. Medina Collection.
