MEXICO, Mexico City, gold cob 8 escudos, 1714 J, flipover double-strike, NGC Mint Error MS 63 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label). S-M30; Cal-2212; KM-57.3; Fr-6. 26.97 grams. Highly lustrous and sharply detailed (arguably much higher grade, in our opinion), with 100% full shield and cross-and-tressure, most of date and oMJ and denomination visible despite the doubling, which renders traces of shield design on high points of cross (very rare error for this type), also interesting vintage certificate. From the 1715 Fleet, with 1960s-era certificate signed by Geno Giuliani.
