MEXICO, Mexico City, encrusted clump of two cob 8 reales, probably both Philip V, assayers not visible, ex-Bruce Ward. KM-47; Cal-Type 170. 55.99 grams total. Both darkened yet solid cobs tightly fused together with a horn of green and white sedimentation sticking out, the bottom cob showing a partial cross, as found and pictured on the certificate except that a small rusty appendage has come off. Pedigreed to the Bruce Ward Collection (Cargile Auction of December 2019, lot 114, with original photo-certificate). Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
