MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, assayer not visible (J), style of 1712-13, encrusted as found. S-M22; KM-47; Cal-Type 170. 26.62 grams. Neat shape (somewhat rectangular) with good full cross-lions-castles, nearly full off-center shield with bold denomination 8, patch of corrosion at bottom (the loss of weight made up for by peripheral patches of encrustation), darkly toned all over. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
