MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales Royal (galano), 1719/7 J, ornament above the assayer, very rare, NGC / sea salvaged, ex-Rooswijk (1739). S-M22; KM-unl; Cal-unl (Type 168). 21.73 grams. Perfectly round and well detailed (XF or so), just a bit corroded and oxidized and unevenly toned, with tiny hole at top, a very rare coin and unique as from a shipwreck, its details clear enough to discern a 9/7 overdate that everyone seems to have missed on the Lázaro example (number 74, a die-match with the present coin, rated RX as no more than three known). From the Rooswijk (1739), with certificate.
