MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Philip V, (1714) (J), small-shield variety. S-M22; KM-47; Cal-1401. 22.07 grams. Very interesting piece with a small shield struck on the obverse of a long flan, clear denomination 8 and king's ordinal V, bold cross, a bit of corrosion on the upper edge but not much anywhere else. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
