MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible. KM-45; Cal-Type 319. 26.54 grams. Very fat urn shape with unevenly thick top and bottom due to typical concavity, choice full cross-lions-castles with trace of doubling (scarce thus), well-detailed full shield, solid and corrosion-free but with flat peripheries as usual, toned in crevices only. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his Concepción contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
