MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P, ex-Concepción (1641), mounted cross-side out in 14K gold-wire pendant with fixed bail. 28.03 grams total. Corroded coin lacking much detail but with cross and part of shield visible (as are the mintmark and assayer), slightly concave shape and mounted in an interesting gold wire-wrapped bezel, wire-wrapped bail at top. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
