MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P, ex-Concepción (1641), mounted cross-side out in 14K gold-wire pendant and fixed bail. 31.53 grams total. Dark gray-toned piece with some corrosion and nice partial shield and cross detail, clear denomination 8, interesting gold wire-wrapped bezel that follows the irregular shape of the coin very well. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
