Choice full cross despite thinning and moderate to heavy corrosion, the shield also full but minimal peripheral detail, darkly toned in crevices throughout. Pedigreed to the Dr. Peter Jones collection (Sedwick Auction 28, with original lot-tag 1454), plated on page 217 of his book The First Coins of the Americas (2020), and to the Ponterio auction of June 2002, with original lot-tag #614 and generic certificate.
