MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Charles II or Philip V, assayer not visible, encrusted as found. 43.87 grams. Extremely thickly encrusted (up to 3/4") with gray sandy oxidation impregnated with large pieces of white and tan shells, somewhat rectangular in shape indicative of a Mexican 8R but without any part of coin exposed, very neat and solid display. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
