MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Charles II, assayer not visible (L), very odd shape, ex-Morse. S-M21; KM-46; Cal-Type 108. 24.59 grams. Sort of triangular shape with two flat points and the third bent, some bold cross but overall weakly struck, surface-corroded, desirable original certificate (which calls it Philip V in error). With original Cobb Coin Company (Fisher) tag and photo-certificate CB83-314, pedigreed to the J.M. Morse III Collection. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
