MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, (1714-15) (J), new-style shield and cross, ex-Wagner. S-M22; KM-47; Cal-Type 170. 24.31 grams. Solid flan with most of shield and cross despite peripheral flatness and light surface corrosion, patches of brown and black oxidation and "horn" silver, very desirable original certification. With original Real Eight Co. certificate (in pristine condition) hand-signed by Kip Wagner and flyer from the Real Eight Treasure Museum in Cape Canaveral. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
