MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, (1705-12) J, fish-shaped flan, ex-1715 Fleet, mounted in 14K gold wire pendant with jump-ring. 30.47 grams total. Interesting shape (like a fish) with bold, nearly complete cross that's a little off-center, bottom half of shield quite strong with assayer visible to left, nice surfaces with very minor corrosion, wrapped in a custom pendant setting. From the 1715 Fleet (Rathman's site, found in 1980), with photo-certificate from the finder (Buddy Martin).
