MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, 1657 P. S-M19; KM-45; Cal-1362. 23.13 grams. Broad, squarish flan with full shield and cross (the latter bold) but much peripheral flatness except for oMP and 1657 date, lightly toned, surface corrosion. With JWI 1987 plastic tag 164 and original photo-certificate from the salvor (Dominic Addario, who mis-attributed the coin date to 1655). Recovered from: “Jupiter Wreck” (San Miguel Arcángel), sunk in 1659 off the east coast of Florida
