MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 4 reales, Philip III, assayer D. S-M18; KM-37.2; Cal-Type 146. 4.59 grams. Rather thin from corrosion with some holes in the center but with nearly complete (if a little weak) shield and cross plus visible assayer, scarce wreck provenance and neat pedigree to our first auction!. Pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 1, with original lot-tag 118 and original Seahawk tag and certificate 90-1A.628.0077. Recovered from: "Dry Tortugas Wreck," sunk ca. 1622 west of Key West, Florida
