MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 2 reales, 1639/7 P, very rare. S-M19; KM-unl (33 for type); Cal-unl (Type 236). 5.93 grams. Full 639/7 of date outside of off-center shield, good full cross, thin from light surface corrosion, one edge-split, interesting and rather rare (about five known) "skip-date" overdate that might mean 1638 does not exist in this denomination (nor clean-date 1639, for that matter). With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
