MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 1 real, Philip V, assayer not visible (J), with two-piece shell of encrustation, ex-Queens Jewels. S-M22; KM-30; Cal-Type 77. 7.87 grams total. Neat combination of a 1715 Fleet shipwreck cob and the separated halves of thick encrustation that formed over it all those years underwater, the coin still showing the bottom half of its shield while its cross side is obscured. With original Queens Jewels tag photo-certificate 84607-7 describing and showing it as an encrusted "cookie" 2 reales, housed in a Riker box. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, sunk off the east coast of Florida
