MEXICO, Mexico City, clump of one cob 8 reales in chunk of coral, Philip IV, assayer not visible. 105.33 grams total. Roughly 3" x 2½" x 2". Irregular piece of shell-encrusted coral mostly wrapped around a single solid cob 8R with partial shield visible, could be assayer D but not certain. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
