MEXICO, Mexico City, clump of one cob 4 reales and chunk of coral, Philip IV, assayer not visible. KM-38; Cal-Type 275. 22.92 grams total. 1½" x 1¼" x ½". Neat, displayable piece with a solid cob facing shield side out, mildly corroded but with decent shield detail and partial mintmark, long natural edge crack where the assayer would be, encrusted onto a small chunk of tan and porous coral. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
